Since the 1980s, the Joshua Seventh-day Adventist Church has supported JAMS, Joshua Area Multi-grade School, and other local Adventist schools for the purpose of nurturing students in using their God-given capacities to become individuals of principle, qualified for any position in life, and most importantly to give them an education that will prepare them for heaven.  Mental, physical, social, and spiritual health, intellectual growth, and service to humanity form a core of values that are essential aspects of the Adventist education philosophy.
